ADR1FT is an immersive First Person Experience (FPX) that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit slowly leaking oxygen, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged EEV and safely return home.
Very fascinating, especially as a fan of movies like Gravity or Interstellar. As a claustrophobic person, playing such a game is of course a bit more intense, because the feeling of helplessness in space, oxygen scarcity and disorientation comes across...
wonderfully. The pretty graphics and gentle sound backdrop do the rest. With VR it's probably even more exciting - but also quite normally in front of the monitor I've often enough held my breath. Unfortunately, Adr1ft gets monotonous too fast, the gameplay is very sterile. We carefully drive forward, look, press buttons and collect some background information. After more than an hour I had the feeling that nothing new would come any more, because the hardly existing story almost does not drive forward. Although I like the game, I somehow have no interest in finishing it. It is an interesting adventure that I would like to recommend for a certain group of people - provided it is currently on sale for a few EUR.
