So you think you're hardcore? You think you can handle an I'd-rather-rip-my-eyes-out-of-my-sockets challenge with one hand behind your back and enough caffeine to kill a bull? Prove it: Here's AFTERGRINDER – a punishing arcade runner for the speed freaks and masochists among us. Pick a character, pick a level … and get ready to die. Unless you can survive 90 rage-inducing levels in 3 unforgiving worlds, that is.
AFTERGRINDER is a 2D skill game in pseudo-retro-optics. Since Hotline Miami every indie has to bring somehow loud pink into the game, I find this an abomination in the eyes of creation. But so be it. To the game: Our pixelated minifigure moves automatically...
from left to right through the picture, so that we are not crushed on walls or grilled by laser, we evade (hopefully in time) by changing between ceiling and floor. That's it. With Story there was no further stay here either. This may occupy some players as a game for in between. That also breathes. Now that I've seen a lot for the archive at Steam, I've sunk very low with my minimum requirements for positive feedback, the game works, is complete, doesn't crash and doesn't get annoying from selling in-game scrap. I'll give you a thumbs up.
