In the near future the world is consumed by the great crisis. The resources of the planet are to end, the traditions mean nothing anymore. It leads to many wars, one after another - places where one could live in peace and not worry about the fact that he can be shot immediately were almost gone. The planet was ruined. Years of endless wars almost destroyed countries which we know today. More and more powerful armies were created. The first non-governmental army was called The Opposition. Its views were clear enough - its main purpose was to create a new society. Without war, without violence, without tyrants. But it was possible only by complete destruction of the old world and civilization. The remains of the largest contries were forced to create an organization that could repulse the Opposition. Its name was the Alliance. The Alliances leaders believed that the Oppositions actions would lead to complete destruction of the Earth and dissapearance of humanity. They belived that because of such actions the restoration of civilization in the future would be impossible. The Alliance protected knowledge that was accumulated by humanity during its existence. Its leaders considered that the humanity should stop that war. You are the commander of the Alliance. Your goal is to take control of the bases in the hot spots and to resist the advancing enemy.
Beautiful Tower Defense game! In this TD variant you don't build towers at the roadside, but upgrade your base with upgrades, which allow you to build better units and defenses that you can train and let go. Concrete walls and gun turrets are also...
possible. In most cases you have to defend your base against advancing hordes of enemies until you reach a target. Sometimes you have to destroy an enemy boss at the end or hit an enemy building to lump. You fight on up to three levels with different units and attack types. This makes the game very tactically challenging. The first maps play relatively simple, but then sometime the overkill comes and at least I have so my difficulties with the last maps.
When you take your base to a new level, the level of difficulty increases and stronger opponents are released. So, this should be taken into account in its construction. It is better to take all unit upgrades and keep the map under control before you level up too fast and your units have no chance against new enemies.
A round lasts a few minutes. Later it can take longer if you bite yourself and because of the many opponents you might not be able to continue leveling. If your opponent breaks through somewhere and runs towards you with a bunch of units, you may have to restart several times. I have just reached my small frustration phase, because I failed in the campaign several times at the last 3-4 cards, which are playable at the same time openly and freely after mouth.
Technically the game is structured like one of the usual retro titles. You think you're playing Amiga or C64 again, but I like that so much. All in all, it is a very interesting game for in between. Don't expect too much. For a few hours of fun, it is still enough and is worth a few euros in any case. If you want, you can also play a survival mode to stretch the game time.
The developer took a stand on my lamentations and assured me that they would work on the balancing and at least make the last levels a little bit easier, so that the game would surely be possible and you could try the survival mode afterwards. :-)
