Batman makes a mixed impression on me. (tested with the HTC Vive)
Preliminarily once, the game looks really great and even ran completely smoothly with a GTX 970. The graphics are very detailed, the soundtrack is super and also the control works perfectly.... When you stand in front of the mirror for the first time and consider yourself a Batman, it's a terrific impression. The game itself is linear. As dark knights we follow the bad guys through Gotham and look for traces and clues. We have a lot of technical gadgets at our disposal. It all works perfectly within the very limited gaming experience. That leads me to my criticisms, too. You will notice that the game was designed for the Playstation, for example. Roomscale is only used to a limited extent, we can only teleport to fixed points, and a 'real' 360u00b0 feeling does not occur. In addition, the individual sections of the game seem more like a series of many small tutorials. As soon as we have learned something and applied it once, we are already done with it, and the next section begins. I don't see the choice of vehicles either. We can choose between airplane and car to visit a crime scene, but since there is only one loading screen, the choice is completely superfluous. After less than an hour you have reached the end of the game. There is still the possibility to hunt for 'Riddleru00b4s Riddles' within the completed maps, but this does not add any real value. Don't get me wrong, I really liked Batman and I played it all in one go, but I would wait for a sale because the size and experience are relatively limited. That's why I only have a limited buy recommendation. Too bad, because the game would have a lot of potential.
