Dead Cells is a rogue-lite, metroidvania action-platformer. You'll explore a sprawling, ever-changing castle... assuming you're able to fight your way past its keepers in 2D souls-lite combat. No checkpoints. Kill, die, learn, repeat.
The game can be frustrating on the one hand, on the other hand you can have a lot of fun with the game, it is definitely not an easy game and you will very often 'bite the dust'.
What I particularly like is that you get from killed enemies... 'Cells' with which you can unlock new items or improve existing items after each level, the stronger items should become the more of these cells you need. br>
The new items will keep you moving forward, but you will still die again and again because you have not paid attention or the items are too weak at some point. The combat system is very fluid so not too fast but also not too slow, in my opinion exactly fitting. br>
Currently the game is still in EA, so you can assume that more items will make it into the game and the game itself will get more levels.
In its current state (as of 08. 06. 17) I can still recommend the game without a guilty conscience, in my opinion worth every cent. Great game!
