Distance is a survival racing game that combines the intense action of arcade racing with the exploration of an atmospheric world. You control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly through a chaotic and twisted city. The world has a mysterious history, and as you explore youll be able to uncover pieces of its past. The roads are treacherous and unpredictable with obstacles around every corner. Instead of doing laps on a loop, youll be trying to survive to the end in the quickest time. Since your car has several abilities, it allows you to not only drive fast on the track but also upside down and on buildings and walls! You can also fly to discover new shortcuts and paths. Youll be able to take on the roads alone, or in multiplayer with your friends!
This game is a great racing game, which can best be compared to the famous track Mania. In mostly very dark, but brightly lit routes you drive through all kinds of obstacles. Here gravity does not play a role. No matter how you just... grabbed yourselves against a wall, the bottom is where your tires are. The obstacles mentioned can destroy you either completely or partially. If you are only partially destroyed (e. g. sawed in the middle) you can make your way to the next checkpoint and will then be rebuilt. br>
Most fun with the maps created by the players in online mode. These range from very feasible to very difficult to complete. However, due to the many necessary functions of the car a game with the keyboard becomes very difficult and overtaxed very quickly. br>
Distance is characterized by a great soundtrack, which underlines the driving very appropriately. br>
I have Distance on screen since 2015 and already the Gamescom of the same year in my library. One of the developers said at his booth back then that the game was almost finished and no longer as early access, but as 'finished'. to preserve the game. Unfortunately, this has not yet happened. However, you have to keep the developers in mind that they release regular updates. br>
I will play the game again in the final version and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cool racing game that doesn't have to be very realistic but has a cool style. br>
