Here my review of the game 'Downward' after 1 hour in the game. The game is great in my eyes. The graphics runs so far super playable in Ultra settings at FullHD. br>Should someone have minimalistic hardware. . . the game looks quite respectable even...
in lower settings. . . but the Unreal Engine 4 really unfolds its full beauty with everything at its maximum. The control is well done with mouse and keyboard and I have no problems as an old PC hare to jump and dschumpen me by the area. . . so I can't comment on a controller. :-)The story is so far OK and bobbing along. But let's face it. it's a jump run in 3D. . . what do I want with an adventure story?! The price on offer with currently 7 euros and a few quirks is more than fair and more than justified for the game. Even the regular price is reasonable. I've seen a lot less fair. br><
Who wants to jump acrobatics. . . Investigation . . . nice look . . . Island Romanticism . . . Here it is important to get your money's worth. But the jumps so far are very simple. Could be that it gets more intense for finger acrobatic fans in the course of the game. If not, these people will probably be disappointed. I, for one, hope it doesn't get any worse. jump styles and variations. . . but you shouldn't get finger cancer with the keyboard shortcuts like in some other games. Whoever likes that should learn fishing knots or adjust to gout in my eyes. D
I for my part find the game successful. Thumb up.
