Dragon Quest Heroes 2 is a hack-and-slash, field-roaming Action RPG that sends players on a new adventure to restore order in a once peaceful world filled with hordes of monsters and battles of epic proportions. Up to 4 players can band together in cooperative multiplayer to conquer swarms of enemies and defeat challenging boss monsters. There is also a cast of many playable characters each with unique moves and abilities – including a host of familiar faces from the Dragon Quest series and four brand new heroes that must team up to defeat an unknown threat looming over the Seven Realms!
It's actually quite fun and also quite varied, besides you can change the class of the main characters, which I found great compared to the first part. The game is definitely recommended, but a few points that hurt me personally as a DQ veteran...
have pulled me down a lot. I don't want to spoil too much but the ending brings a big disappointment and there is no content after the main story. You also don't really get the feeling after the end that you've done anything, because you can always repeat the last mission or the last fight and never come to a real end. The multiplayer aspect has disappointed me, because I celebrated the multiplayer from DQ9 very much, because you don't move together in the world of one of the other players and play through the game together, but only in special dungeons or boss fights you can have the pleasure to attract a fellow player.
To get to the point:
If you are more of a singleplayer type and uninstall the game after the credits and don't hope for afterstory, DQH2 is highly recommended. Since I personally had a lot of fun with this game despite my finite disappointment, I will recommend it anyway.
