Invisigun Heroes is a multiplayer, single-screen stealth battle arena with a twist: everyone's invisible! Predictable grid-based movement ensures that you know where you are, but other players don't. Vigilance is key as environmental tells such as footprints and other disturbances will point out careless cadets. Using special abilities and firing your Invisigun will also momentarily give you away. Along with items and powerups, these mechanics reward stealth, trickery, reflex, forethought, deception, bluffing, and awareness. A variety of lovingly-made environments, maps, game modes, and abilities combine for high replayability and a deep path to mastery.
IH is a game focusing on multiplayer matches (local and online, with or without bots) with up to 4 people simultaneously. The fights themselves take place on one of currently 50 maps, which are very reminiscent of old Bomberman parts (e. g. on the...
SNES). There is a choice of 7 game modes, 8 playable characters with different abilities (e. g. setting and using portals, sending a drone or stun enemies with a sword blow), but they all have one thing in common:
they are invisible during the match as long as they do not attack or use an ability. This means that during most of a game neither you nor your opponents can be seen, which can make the whole thing a very sneaky story as soon as you get out, how you can estimate your movements and locate yourself without seeing your character. In that moment you spend more time watching your opponents and finding possible ways to get them around the corner, confuse them, ambush them, etc. This may sound strange in written form - especially if the written form is mine - but it can be a lot of fun.
ALLERDINGS the player base of the game is still very small - and that's the crux of the story - so it can be difficult to find regular online matches at the moment if you don't want to use the official discord channel. The latter is (still) full of nice people and helps to start games immensely - rudimentary English skills, besides Discord as a program, but should be available to get things going.
All in all my fullest recommendation. Have a lot of fun!
