The most terrifying journey of your life set in the beautiful winter scenery of the Ural Mountains. Uncover the horrific mystery behind the Dyatlov Pass Incident. Narrated by the famous Sean Bean.
Well, what can I say! ? I bought the game for 4 Euros and some crushed ones at the Steam Winter Sale. I’ve been playing it for about 3 hours now. So now my final review. The feeling in the snow is REALLY good and the effects are BIG! Especially...
the falling snow. Also, the sound of the snow and wind going through the trees and the snow crunching and the like. Especially now when there is no real white Christmas outside it is fun. Even if it is creepy and not contemplative:-)Some people denounce things like the lack of guidance or tips for the causes of death to some people or better the way around them. I don't think that's fair and I can't accept that for the game. It may be that sooner or later it gets annoying and you might throw it away out of frustration. On the other hand, that's the real purpose of the game. Not that it sucks. . . :-) . . . I mean the aimlessness that prevails in the world. You look for the information lying around everywhere on the map and in connection with the compass. What happens on the way and how to prevent it is supposed to be the trick fun. Also, the difficulty where you are in the world and how to get to specific points.
Because that's true like everybody writes. . . with the map and compass, it's hard to know exactly where I am right now. But in the real world there is no point to show you that you are right here or there. That's why people get lost in the wilderness although they have maps and a compass and sometimes they get lost. That's exactly what the game really shows. The dangers in the rough nature that can befall you. . . . without demons or ghosts. . . :-) . . . but in principle, as far as disorientation is concerned, that is correct.
Graphically it's made great and the atmosphere is greater than the videos and photos show it from the game. For approx. 4, 50 euro it is in any case a purchase obligation for explorers and snow play fans it gladly creepy like. I find it a mixture of Slenderman and Dear Eshter. For the regular price I find it somehow too expensive with 3 hours playing time. But there are the great winter sales or Easter sales and so on at Steam.
But just the great winter sales and so on at Steam. ;-)I can highly recommend the game Kholat as such in the offer. But I wouldn't pay the full price for the short game time. Especially since it has no replay value once you're through.
