Mother Russia Bleeds is an unrelenting, ultra-violent Beat ‘Em Up, brimming with hard-hitting action and game altering psychedelic twists. Set in an alternate U.S.S.R, the story focuses on an imprisoned antihero with a crippling drug addiction as he breaks free and barrels down a journey of hate-filled vengeance. The graphical style harkens back to the golden age of brawlers, so we use pixel art and layer modern touches to immerse the player in a cold and violent USSR.
Retro games are very popular these days. You're right, you like to feel like being taken back to your youth. And those who already played Streets of Rage, Final Fight or Double Dragon on Sega's Mega Drive or Nintendo's SNES will experience...
a leap in time. Of course, the game comes in a very casual style that would have been unthinkable before. Not only because of the brutality, but also because of all the other taboo breaks contained. After almost 6 hours I was through, but the replayability is given by the (local) co-op mode, by the achievements and by the second mode 'Arena', by asserting myself against waves of opponents. br>
Over a year I've been waiting for the game and it's exactly how I wanted it to be. The online co-op mode will probably be added later and would do the game a lot of good, but it's a bit more than before.
Definitely something for friends of Hotline Miami.
