Neverending Nightmares is a psychological horror game inspired by the developers actual battle with mental illness. In the game, you take on the role of Thomas who awakens from a terrible nightmare only to find that he is still dreaming. As he descends deeper through the layers of hellish dreamscapes, he must hide from horrifying apparitions and outrun his inner demons. He must discover which of the horrors he encounters are a manifestation of his own psychological state and figure out what reality will be when he finally wakes up.
I think the WTF??? moments I had in this game I can no longer count ^^
What's not bad. The graphic style needed getting used to at first, but appealing and the longer I played, the better it fit in my eyes. . . Although I like to gamble... horror games and am not particularly jumpy, there were a few corners where I actually flinched. The musical background, which changes slightly every now and then, especially towards the end, was perfect. Atmospherically unique I found this game in the pitch-black room and with headset.
With 3 h for a run I was a little longer than most. The story was a bit thin, but well-staged, I was particularly fascinated by the minimalist attention to detail, like recurring pictures that change again and again or a doll in two different rooms, but on the screen at exactly the same place. The game is quite idiosyncratic, slightly disturbing and beautiful to watch in a rather calm way. I'm excited about the other ends
