In Nioh, players will traverse war-torn Japan as William, a blonde-haired swordsman whose background as a fierce warrior and seasoned knowledge of the blade allows him to survive in the demon-plagued land of the samurai. Known as Yokai, these demons inhabit a number of dangerous locations and lie in wait in the shadows to ambush unsuspecting victims. Players will also face off with other samurai in supernatural sword battles and intense, multi-target engagements offering a level of difficulty that will truly test even the most hardened samurai's skills, patience, and strategy. Offering a deep and original storyline that takes place during the Warring States Period of Japanese history alongside strategic sword-fighting action, Nioh will challenge players in a way that makes every mission and accomplishment feel earned and worthwhile.
A gem among the games though not necessarily on the PC
-Loot feeling. Always new weapons with always new perks
-Easy to learn but hard to master
-PvE against dead players to get their equipment
-Intensive boss fights
-Jede weapon with individual fighting style, in addition different postures (head, chest, hip)
-Beautiful levels, but
-. . . too much recycling. You visit some levels 4-5 times
-PC port you notice the game. Occasionally jerky reloading, troz fluid FPS slows down the game, almost in slow motion (especially when allied players join the game
-part, the levels are too dark
initially unclear skill tree, especially since each type of weapon has to be adjusted separately ((YES at this point you could also make a plus point, but especially for new players it is quite cumbersome))
Nioh is a beautiful action RPG with new ideas, a setting you rarely see in this country and good implementation. The PC port is sometimes disturbed by jerking during zone changes or slow-motion mode while playing with other players. However, this does not interrupt the fun of the game. There are potential opponents lurking around every corner, where sometimes a wrong step or a too slow block can mean death. Even for 50€ it belongs in the library of every fan of games like The Surge, Dark Souls and Nier Automata.
