Might and Delight
The game follows the life of a mother lynx, starting as a pregnant animal, giving birth and continuing in to a journey of parenthood where nurturing her cubs is paramount for survival. Shelter 2 includes more elaborate gameplay features than its predecessor, such as stamina, different types of movements, jumps and a variety of prey to kill. Besides hunting there are several maternal and hunting features, such as calling the cubs closer, smell for prey, making sure they drink water from rivers and lifting and carrying your cubs from harm’s way.
Hi, I've had Shelter 2 for some time now and this is the second time I've 'played it through'. I just want to list all the pros and cons I found out to help you with your decision. ;)
-unbelievably... beautiful atmosphere
-Ki (interactivity of Ki's)
-different degrees of difficulty
-Open World, probably not. (A lot of places are not accessible or bugged)
-length, even if you play a 'Awakening and Death' of the fox in great detail, you don't spend more than 5 hours in the game
-generations, if you start a new generation, only the exact same game repeats itself again, same story (which is also understandable) & same level
- Many bugged places, actions, etc. (sometimes a baby just bows into the ground somewhere and you can't move it from place to place anymore, so it dies most of the time, unless you can get it to free it somehow)
A great game. nice sound- & game design, wonderful atmosphere and very touching gameplay, but still in need of improvement. I recommend to everyone who loves to buy nice (but not too long) games with a nice atmosphere and nice/creative sound- & game design. To enjoy the game to the full it is recommended to buy the DLC 'Mountains' with it. The game is great, but for this short playing time it is not worth 15€. Therefore, we recommend you to buy the game in a sale. See you, your Eima!
See you! ;)
