Skyrim VR includes the critically-acclaimed core game and official add-ons –Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.
I don't need to say anything more about the story, everybody knows it :-)What was important to me: control and graphics in the VR version. With the menu navigation you notice of course that everything is not really designed for VR, you still have...
these list menus, which you have to operate with the touchpad on the Vive or the thumbsticks on the Rift and WMR. I think some kind of laser pointer would have been more beautiful and accurate. br>
The graphic was set to 'medium', which was an automatic value. As expected, everything in the distant background becomes quite blurry, here you have to screw up the graphics properly and switch on super sampling to make it sharp. Then a 1080 Ti is mandatory. But in general I didn't notice it very unpleasant, because:
The Sykrim atmosphere is the madness in VR! And in contrast to the PSVR version you can turn 360 degrees and the tracking works in every conceivable position! Very good! This makes the weapon handling (sword and bow) very immersive! I definitely had fun beating up the opponents. In the menus you can change a lot of VR settings, e. g. realistic bow and arrow handling, realistic sneaking (you really have to squat) and swimming as well as adjust the running and turning speed. br><
Teleport and Smooth Locomotion are available. The game ran ultra fluid on medium settings, no lags, neither indoors nor outdoors. br>
I'm happy so far, I know the rest of the game anyway. br>
Many of the scenes have of course been cut out because of the motion sickness, e. g. the scene at the beginning where you should be beheaded and run there. Here you are teleported directly, which is also very good, otherwise it would make you sick. br>
All in all I want to give the game positive, because the flaws are still ok and I still enjoyed the game.
