Through the Woods is a third-person Norse horror adventure set in a forest on the western shores of Norway that tells the story of a mother and her missing son. Through reactive narration, the player experiences the mother’s re-telling of the events surrounding her son’s disappearance. Players follow the path of a terrified woman who has forced herself to enter this terrible place for the sole purpose of finding her son, in a setting heavily influenced by Norse mythology and Norwegian folk tales. With Through the Woods, Antagonist have captured the feeling of the forest as they saw it as children, with all the fear and mystery that comes from roaming through it alone. This is coupled with a powerful story and high quality sound design, which in the darkness of the forest becomes a core mechanic. Through the Woods is a profound experience that directly delivers the feelings of loneliness and loss in a terrifying place...
Alana Wake? :)br>
A really athmospheric greeting fairy tale which is convincing in many things!
A great soundtrack from fabulous to emotional to very creepy! When it started to thunderstorms (I like thunderstorms) my back was freezing... cold and I just had to listen for 2-3 minutes! Great! br>
The soundtrack accompanies the really beautiful graphics! You can see from the developers that they went to the project with a lot of love and also realized this wonderfully! The forest or the different forest sections are all together very atmospheric, partly convey a feeling of claustrophobia etc. The eye plays a trick on one of the more open times (if you get to a certain place of the game you will surely laugh about this irony!) if you think to see what does not exist at all! This is especially 'super' when you think about it: ''No, I'm not falling for it again! ' :)br>
I can recommend the game to anyone who likes such little greeting games that live from your story, where you have to deal with the world to understand it and also get the desired effect (that you fear)! br>
Since I've heard that this game is based on a Norwegian legend! I know less but even KRAMPUS should fit into this rail! Who knows these legends and likes will also have fun with this game! Everyone else should be busy with the game and not just 'run away'! br>
The negative thing about the game is certainly the somewhat poor performance but that's bitching at Indian level! The price is also fully justified! br>
