So, then I dare to review WWE 2K18, but I would like to go into a few other reviews. I didn't notice any crashes, too few FPS or very big bugs! Everything runs great, 60 FPS and zero jerkers! So I'm going to go into the game. I didn't really...
expect anything else from the graphic. Of course the physics of the ropes and the physics of the hair are sometimes a bit strange, but don't disturb the game in any way! Clearly disturbing, however, are some objects that fly through the entire arena. A small example: I take the commentator's desk apart (the cover and the 3 small monitors) and then want to go to my opponent. I get to one of the 3 monitors and it reacts like the proverbial hare with pepper in his ass. But that doesn't affect the game! Of course the ladder flies through the ring but it lies at the end again and it can go on. Otherwise everything's fine. Light effects etc are strong and the shadows are exactly where they should be and look good.
The sound, on the other hand, is awesome. . . . if it weren't for the commentators! Repetitions - all well and good - BUT. . . . to call Nakamura a Big Show or Dean Ambrose a Sasha Banks is a bit ridiculous. But ok, I personally pay less attention to it because I just concentrate. The music selection is as always: A few soundtracks here and the move-in music there (which you can also set for the menu) bring the WWE-feeling! But you have to cut back on gameplay! I play now the WWE/F games since SuperNintendo's RAW and am a bit disappointed at 2K18. It's a little choppy and unfortunately a little slow. With the Cruiserweights the feeling does not quite come up as with earlier parts.
Universe Mode and the 'Story-Mode' is exactly what I expected. In the story twists and turns and here and there some freedom of choice let the fashion look better but unfortunately it is still very straightforward. Really 3 things will annoy you which also me the marbles go: 1. first of all its own Wrestler make where one must unlock very much still! 2. the moveset has the same problem 3. that backstage run! But as I said: Everything else is as expected! In Universe Mode you have a lot of freedom! But I don't want to tell you too much! br>
So, let's get to the end
P. S. : If you've read this far then take a look at the other reviews that compare the game with Tekken and DayZ; ) Have a nice Day =)
