Set in the near-future, Act of Aggression is an explosive techno-thriller real-time strategy game hailing from the Golden Era of RTS. With three global super-powers, there can be only one victory.
Across three distinct factions each armed with the greatest modern and prototype military weaponry, head into some of the world's most volatile conflict zones, building bases for mass production, establishing resource supply lines, and waging war in Eugen Systems' explosive RTS.
Build and manage the cogs of war in a return to strategic base-building, resource harvesting, and dynamic tech-trees. Capture banks and enemy soldiers to generate cash income. Upgrade units with specialization and unlock new skills. Embark on an epic single player Campaign with a thrilling original story, and fight throughout the world on realistic environments. Compete online in visceral PVP battles and become the best commander!
Reboot Edition and normal version differ mainly in the resource system and thus in the level of difficulty. I found my way into the Reboot Edition after a few hours of play. For the normal Act of Aggression version, I need at least 100 hours to master the resource ratio of oil, aluminum, and rare earths for all units in such a way that I have a chance against a good opponent. For all who are used to Generals, the Reboot Edition of Act of Aggression is the unrestricted recommendation. There is no need to rethink the resource system, because with oil (money) you only have one resource, as in Generals. Construction vehicles must be controlled in the Reboot Edition itself, as in Generals. However, in the whole Act of Aggression you cannot control aircraft yourself, you can only mark one target. Superweapons can be intercepted with ant rockets. This often requires an arms race between nuclear missiles and ant rockets. There are, as in General's, three factions. USA, Chimera, and Kartell. However, the groups do not differ as much as in Generals. In Act of Aggression money can be gained through oil refineries, prisoners of war or special buildings. The game is largely balanced. The reboot edition is included in the purchase price of Act of Aggression, after the normal version was hardly played. Even during the beta phase I find Internet players quickly and never have to wait long. You can add friends to your profile.
