What is Beholder about?
You're a State-installed Landlord in a totalitarian State. You must spy on tenants, peep, eavesdrop and profile! You must report on anyone capable of plotting subversion against the State. You MUST! But WILL you?
Welcome to a world where the state is above everything and has everything under its control. You as Carl Stein are an employee in this very state and take care of a housing complex as a caretaker. It is up to you to check that your tenants comply with the law (some of which will be very pointless) and, if necessary, to log them and report them to the ministry. It is up to you to what extent you submit to the system, but it can quickly happen to you that your life and that of your family also changes dramatically. A game that questions morality and ethics but is a very nice pastime. How long do you think you'll last as janitors?I've been playing the game for a few hours now and I realized that it has captivated me longer than I expected. The story is very well done so far and there are new events every few minutes, which make the game very entertaining. The tasks of tenants, the ministry and your family are very different and varied. The micromanagement of your tenants and the management of your money is demanding but not too exaggerated (at least in normal mode).
