You have to know how the bad ratings come together! Focus Home Interactive has a terrible product policy, instead of just giving the original game Cities XL the updates afterward, they sold every bigger update as a completely new game! Namely then as Cities 2011, Cities 2012 and now Cities XXL.That is of course pure rip-off and rate the game magazines very badly. The Fact is that those who start with Cities XXL still get a damn good city planning simulation and exactly Cities XXL has at least now cleared out the biggest criticism of the older games, that was the collapse of the frame rate in megacities. The new dualcore support virtually eliminates this problem. That doesn't justify a new purchase for old Cities owners alone, of course! But for sure for all those who don't know anything about the game now and who have only been annoyed with the tiny cards in Sim City before!By the way, there is also a clone of Cities XXL, which is "Cities: Skylines" by Paradox Interactive. It's like this game here like an egg to another. But because this game had no predecessors, only this one got the good ratings. The mental milestone for it was, however, actually the Cities series here I would claim and the new DLC policy over there, is now also not so much better. One can do for the price here of currently 10 euros absolutely nothing wrong. Cities XXL is definitely undervalued for the price! The cities look simply hammer in the full development and also the whole traffic flows are realistically computed. Also this whole goods simulation in the currency token, is well thought out. What a little annoying are only the constant Achievements, which ring at the beginning like a slot machine, because one reaches the simpler ones of it also very fast. But that's no reason to say, the game isn't any good, the Sim City is still in the bag from the simulation point of view! What I wish for a future Cities 3XL would be a quad-core support and a switch off of the Achievements slot machine now, of course, it can be a bit more discreet. But you'd have to push this game as a free patch for all old owners, otherwise it'll rain only bad reviews! As I think it would be a pity if the development stops, only because of bad permanent recessions. I have with the game here damn much and long fun had!
