What is Fear Effect Sedna about?
Be part of a new Fear Effect adventure with Fear Effect Sedna, a new game in the classic series made popular on the original PlayStation console. With a whole new story, and shifting to a pausable real-time tactical action style, players will be able to control the team strategically and tackle enemies and puzzles alike.
Fear Effect Sedna is set four years after the events of the original Fear Effect game, and things have changed for the team. Hana, freed from the Triad, lives with Rain in Hong Kong and works as an occasional mercenary, while Deke has grown apart from them since Glas returned to the US.
Hana accepts a small mission for a shadowy organization asking for her services. Her target: a mysterious ancient statuette held by the Chinese ambassador in France. She sees it as a good opportunity to visit her birthplace... But this easy mission is about to lead Hana to something way bigger than she expected.
Meanwhile Glas is approached by a client who catches his attention enough that he soon sets out for Greenland.

Fear Effect Sedna is dedicated to recreating the atmosphere and characters from the original Fear Effect. However, while there are familiar aspects of the game to previous incarnations of the franchise, youll find yourself immersed in a completely unique and new world with Fear Effect Sedna - one that will appeal to fans both old and new.
Fear Effect Sedna is the successor many have wished for, especially in the many wonderful cutscenes. The relationships within the group are understandable, especially if you have played the PSOne originals even if a bit of plot is missing, because Sedna plays Inferno after the never released Fear Effect. In terms of gameplay you get more or less challenging puzzles (also with reference to the player's powers of observation in the level), which often result in a cruel death and game over when not mastered, which is typical for the Fear Effect series. The shootings with the rudimentary cover system are solved suboptimally but not too big an obstacle, because the opponent AI is rather moderate and you find plenty of medipacks! Sneaking usually only works well in designated places and the tactic mode (stops the action) is nice to give instructions to each individual team member but for the most part not useful. All in all, I have to say that the top view of the game area for old Fear Effect bunnies needs getting used to and still is quickly accepted by the head, also it is nice that the stress level has found its way into the game, with whose rash into the higher regions you do more damage but lose the attacks on opponents at target accuracy. Playfully, the project is a bit unround, but presentation, puzzles and history pull out a lot. I wish the developer a good hand for the remake of the first Fear Effect and who knows, maybe we will see Fear Effect Inferno in the future.
