What is Fez about?
Gomez is a 2D creature living in a 2D world. Or is he? When the existence of a mysterious 3rd dimension is revealed to him, Gomez is sent out on a journey that will take him to the very end of time and space. Use your ability to navigate 3D structures from 4 distinct classic 2D perspectives.
b>+ 2 1/2 dimensions The world of FEZ is 2D, but this 2D world has a twist. Gomez, the little protagonist, gets thanks to a magic hat the incredible ability to perceive a third dimension and thus differs from his fellow species. This means that in each level, the perspective can now be turned 90 degrees horizontally to the left or right at the touch of a button. By changing perspectives in the level, the distances between the platforms are shifted again and again. You can also suddenly go around the corner. Apparently huge chasms suddenly become a stone's throw away. A in its simplicity ingeniously funny game principle. + The Story: The Hexahedron+ Design style & FezmapThe charming design style of FEZ immediately fascinated me. Also, the extraordinarily well and clearly arranged world map fits nicely into the actual goal of the game, namely to solve the hidden puzzles 100% in every single level of the game world. The world map unfolds a bit like a galaxy before one's own eyes and can of course also be viewed from four opposite perspectives, I like that. Puzzles ~ puzzlesThe puzzles of FEZ are very, very difficult. To play it through completely you have to unpack your crypto logical abilities and decode a specially developed cube alphabet. Fortunately, you can get help in the steam community if you want (this Guide here for example is mega). Conclusion: 7/10FEZ simply shreds.
