What is FIFA 21 about?

Experience even more social interactivity in soccer with FIFA 21, the successor to FIFA 20. The extremely popular multiplayer mode Ultimate Team now features a co-op mode: join a friend in the Division Rivals ladder mode and climb up to higher leagues together. The new FUT events are all about teamwork. In these community challenges, you compete in teams with and against each other to solve tasks and collect rewards. The career mode features a new interactive match simulation. Like in Football Manager 2020, you can follow the course of the game from an iso-perspective, view statistics, and change tactics and line-up in real time. But if that is not enough for you, you can actively jump into the match yourself and intervene as a player.
FIFA 21 is designed to be faster in every aspect. This not only refers to the gameplay, but also to loading screens and interruptions. A new function, called Player Personality introduces new attributes that affect individual player actions. The new system helps professionals position themselves even more intelligently. Players with a high value of positional play are less likely to be offside, clock their sprints better, can feint runs, drop back as pass options, take a more dexterous position for crosses, or have a better understanding of clearances and pass routes. A high level of defensive awareness, on the other hand, means that runs are better anticipated by defenders, dangerous players are covered more often, passes more easily intercepted, and that central defenders work together in a more coordinated manner.
