Step into the warped fantasy world of Overlord: Fellowship of Evil, the dark and twisted Action RPG filled with the series' signature black humour. Penned by award-winning original Overlord scriptwriter Rhianna Pratchett, Overlord: Fellowship of Evil delivers an epic new quest featuring four Netherghūls – undead servants of the dark arts, resurrected in the absence of a true Overlord, to bring evil back to a world overrun by the forces of good.
I think the game itself is not bad. Sure. . . it's different from the first and second part, but it's not a follower of the series. The story follows on from the second part (at least I think), but it's not an official third part. If it were...
a third part I could understand the **** torm. . . but whatever ^^
the 'RPG' I think the style that was introduced into the game is quite good and I would wish for that also in the third part, after all there was never a class system in the Overlord series. I think the Minions are receding a bit into the background, which I think is basically not bad, because especially in the first part they relied more on the Minions. What is a pity, however, is that all tactical thinking is over? In the row you had to position your Minions tactically, now you just go for it and hope it all goes well. I also like the fact that you can now summon Minions at any time and don't always have to look for those hills.
Yes you can only summon 2 minions of each type at the beginning or ''Storage', but as the game progresses this becomes more, and they also become permanently stronger. Not by killing opponents or collecting their legacies as in the row, but by upgrades, which you can buy in the tower for the currency intended for it. For the third part, however, third-person-view and an open-world would be desirable, because the game lacks this very much. Conclusion: I don't regret the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who likes games like Diablo, Gauntlet, Torchlight and so on. Keep in mind that this is a franchise game, not a sequel to the series!
Finally still for the developers if one should read along: If you are planning a third part of the row, please don't make it exactly like this game. A mixture of the series and Fellowship of Evil. Expand the RPG element a bit with talent trees as it is usual in RPG's, not like here with four characters who only master three attacks (should this not become more in the course of the game). br>
PS: Only played 2 hours and got stuck in the prologue. This is the switch puzzle in the last level. Either I'm too dumb for that, or I intend to play in a full group. If this is not the case it is a bug. . . however. . . can anyone help me? Is it the same for you? Add me to the Friend list')
