Welcome to Neighborville, where everything is in perfect order. Except that a new conflict is brewing between brainless zombies and botanical bombers! At its core, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle of Neighborville is an exciting multiplayer shooter. Engage in battle with 20 fully customizable character classes, including popular characters like the Pea Cannon and Snapper, completed by new faces like the Master of Shadows and the disco queen, Miss Elektra. Team up in split-screen mode and play together in up to six different multiplayer modes.
The war between plants and zombies started as a tower-defence game. Ten years later and after the takeover by Electronic Arts, the brand has long since become part of the mainstream. Developer PopCap has delivered three action offshoots to date, with Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville being on of the wackiest shooter of the series to date. Continuing the familiar conflict between the brainless and the flora, you jump into multiplayer battles or use the Social Board to interact with other players and form teams. Discover the contents of open regions, the well-known central region of downtown and the outskirts of Neighborville. Locations are stuffed with treasure chests, collectables, and little mini-missions.
The game includes a total of 20 different hero classes, 10 each on the side of the zombies and the plants. Each class has three special attacks including cooldowns, while each character can now sprint by default. You receive upgrade points when playing a hero, which unlock passive side effects like shorter cooldowns, faster movements, or XP bonuses. Perks for the three special actions can be improved, while you can collect in-game currency to spend in the hub world for cosmetic items.
