Reviews
Actually, I'm not a big sports fan, but Steep actually aroused my interest, that's why I bought this winter sale. The game is actually very simple, but it's a lot of fun. You have a total of 8 sports to choose from (4 of them you have in the standard game, the other 4 you have to buy with the DLC's or in the in-game store for 100, 000 credits each), which is actually quite a lot, considering that you only drive/fly down a hill all the time (the game is not called ''Steil'') for nothing). There are also challenges, divided into several categories (ground sports (ski, snowboard, sledge), paraglider, wingsuit etc. . ), with which you can earn the necessary credits and EXP. The Winterfest, X-Terme and Road to Olympia DLC bring with them their own challenges and stories. There are a lot of things to buy in the store, like new sports, helmets, goggles, jackets, trousers and costumes. The store makes the game really worth playing, because there are so many crazy helmets and costumes (e. g. a burger helmet, a unicorn, giraffes or T-Rex costume), so that you farm further and further until you can afford the things. And here also the DLC's bring new costumes and clothes with them, which you can't unlock otherwise. You can also change between different characters, from the woman with an annoying British accent to the quota-black, for whom there are also, depending on gender, own clothes. So, you have enough choice to choose your own style and put together an outfit. Each sport has its own outfit, which I personally find a little annoying. All in all, I think it's a really good game, especially for sports fans. The gameplay is, in my opinion, very pleasant and harmonizes well with the controls (except for those of the paraglider. Oh, God, I don't want to start. . . ). It's getting harder and harder and that's why you have to perfect one or more sports, because otherwise you won't get far. Of course, this also makes you play the game more and more, although it can be really hard, but it also makes you freak out sometimes. I will continue to invest more hours in Steep, because it is fun to go down your throat from time to time, to compete with other players or to fuck up with my friends. :)Well done, Ubisoft!
