Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality. This expansion to “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” packs over 10 hours of new adventures, introducing new characters, powerful monsters, unique romance and a brand new storyline shaped by your choices.
It took 13 years. 13 years until finally a role-playing game could push my personal favorite, Gothic II, from the throne. And with what a force. The Witcher 3 is a - for me - almost perfect game. Rarely has a game been so hyped in the scene - never before has a game even surpassed the hype. Exciting fights, very good technical implementation, excellent graphics, the decision possibilities and their consequences. And the atmosphere! For total immersion you don't even need VR glasses. One thing was important to me: the story. And it's completely unbeatable. To keep it short: I have seldom been emotionally involved and touched so often, felt compassionate with the characters, felt torn between decisions and was so excited about the course of the story. I couldn't wait to see how history would go on. And also, the first expansion, Hearts of Stone, doesn't disappoint. This game is a sheer masterpiece, the crowning glory of the role-playing genre. I can only strongly recommend this to anyone who has not played this game yet. So, I have recommended this game to almost every one of my friends. I'm full of praise. It will probably take another decade until something comparable comes onto the market. I bow before everyone involved in the creation of this game - thank you!
