Contrast is a 2D/3D puzzle/platformer, set in a 1920s vaudevillian, film noir dreamscape, full of cabaret, illusion and performance. You play as Dawn, the imaginary friend of a little girl, Didi, and you have the power to shift from the 3D world into a 2D shadowscape, by becoming your shadow. Didi’s family isn’t perfect – her mother is a cabaret singer focused on her career, and her father isn’t around any more. As her imaginary best friend, you must use your shadow shifting abilities to solve complex puzzles, in order to help Didi investigate the secrets that lie behind her troubled family.
The layout of the game is pretty cool, I must say. What’s significant is that you constantly switch between the 3D light world and a 2D shadow world to solve puzzles and find collectibles and secret ways to reach targets.
-The little girl 'Didi', from whom one's imagination obviously springs, is partly really ultimate annoying. Her voice and the stupid, useless 'tips' got on my nerves!! The game could very well have been longer. Was through after about 4 hours.
Naja, but overall the soundtrack was top! :) The music has also created a really great atmosphere!
Who wants to play an atmospheric 20s style jump-and-run game with tricky puzzle elements, for him 'Contrast' is guaranteed what ^_^b
