A ground-based RTS prequel to the classic Homeworld games. Assemble your fleet and lead them to victory on the shifting sands of Kharak in this compelling strategy game. Crafted by Blackbird Interactive, a studio founded by veterans of Homeworld and Company of Heroes, Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak takes players to the deserts of Kharak where danger lurks over every dune.
For a long time once again, a strategy game that really lives up to its name. Let's be honest, besides the Total War series and Company of Heroes, there aren't many titles in the genre of 2019s that don't demand a lot of thinking and aren't...
to be played like a comic book in absurdly bright colors and forms. Homeworld Desserts of Kharak is full of atmosphere, offers depth and a credible Scifi setting
My Prou2019s to the game :
+16 hours of campaign entertainment with a credible and adult story
+ The unit design and setting fits, is also credible and creates a lot of atmosphere (meets personal taste)
+ video sequences and mission briefing are staged atmospherically and contribute to the game atmosphere
+ Homeworld game mechanics super implemented and revives old Homeworld times
++ tactics menu of Homeworld well implemented, personally I'm thrilled, because it gives you the feeling of really operating from a mobile base, with everything that belongs to it, just like in the actual Homeworld.
+ Sound and soundtrack also absolutely coherent and successful
I personally cannot understand why e. g. Game star gave the Title only 79 points. The missions are varied, the story is good and the fights are really a lot of fun. Of course, the desert is barren, but the story revolves around escaping from this dying desert planet. I used to play the two actual Homeworld titles and have to honestly say, from my point of view the developer has managed to put a scoop on it and besides the atmosphere and story, to deliver a really credible backdrop.
