A Platformer like nothing seen before in games, explore this open-world puzzler in multiple dimensions on a journey to find your maker. Poncho is a new kind of game where the player navigates by switching between 3 "layers" in 3D in order to explore a 2D world. "Poncho" is a robot who wakes up in a post-post-post apocalypse world, where humanity has been wiped from the face of the earth many centuries ago but have left their robotic creations behind. The only thing the little robot has to remember his father is the poncho he used to wear, which he takes up himself, thus, his name. Poncho is a game about the feeling of being lost in the woods, trying to find your way home. And behind every rock and tree, there is a discovery waiting to be found.
This game is primarily a labyrinth. You play a cute little robot that you maneuver through 9 levels and reach the exit. You can jump back and forth between 3 consecutive levels. Sounds simple at first, but is made more difficult by obstacles, moving stones,...
force fields, rises in height, etc. In the final and of course hardest level you have to use all acquired skills to reach the goal. Which can lead to some frustration when you have died for the umpteenth time or crashes again after a hard spot. It takes a little luck, but first and foremost practice, observation and concentration.
To make it a little 'more difficult' and to give the game some more playtime, there are the obligatory collectibles. They need most of the time, as they are often difficult to reach. If you want to keep the achievement for this, you have to plan some time and repetitions. If you just hurry through it quickly, however, you will be finished quite quickly. The game is pixel-style, but lovingly animated; with a little humor and except for a few passages not too difficult. It's just addictive. You can easily overlook a few smaller bugs, even if the controller needs getting used to and sometimes jerks. Occasional breaks are to be recommended, then it goes relaxed also much easier. My keyboard survived with a lot of luck :). It is currently offered for 15, - Euro in the shop. This is simply too expensive for the playing time and the gaming experience. But if it's on sale, make sure you get it.
