Take On Mars places you right in the middle of mankind's most exciting undertaking. Start out in the seat of a rover operator, finish as the first human to have ever set foot on the Red Planet.
The game should be viewed from different angles. It's a lot of fun and can take your last nerve. Who likes great graphics, is a fan of games in a (probably) very realistic atmosphere or just wanted to be Mark Watney from the movie 'The Martianer',...
will get his money's worth. I follow the development of the game almost from the beginning. Since release I miss a Suvival fashion. Fortunately, there is a good remedy in the workshop. The editor can be operated rather crooked, if you have the knack out and enough patience, you can certainly also have his joy with it. The now integrated Kampange is already quite a lot of fun, only it is relatively short. However, since one tends to start these several times to have done some essential things before the first night, one also gets some hours of play together. Instead of focusing on bugs, they also like to add new content that no one has been waiting for. A big criticism on my part: camera focusing! Imagine sitting in a car and only being able to see clearly what is in the vehicle while you are exploring. Everything outside is practically blurry. The search in the settings was also unsuccessful. Maybe it's me, too. There is a multiplayer mode. I have never seen more than maybe 10 users online at the same time, but you can spend some time with your friends or even strangers on Mars, the moon, in the ISS, the Earth and some more. If I could give 10 points I would probably give 7, but as I am very open-minded about the game and the idea behind it, it is - despite all crashes/bugs/nerve moments - rather an 8th I would rather not make game comparisons. There are many early access games that haven't reached release status for years and are almost disappearing again, because apparently the developers. . . . . no, let's not do that! You know what I mean. At least here we have a release!
Here we have a game that is now quite playable and realistic, which will give the survival genre a go. Sometimes I had the feeling in those damn space suits that you could run out of air.
