Double Zero One Zero
The Westport Independent is a censorship simulator about the last weeks on an independent newspaper which is to be dismantled according to a new government bill. You play an editor in charge of choosing what will be printed in the paper, making sure that the content is nice and proper according to the government guidelines. With rebellions against the government rising slowly amongst the public, whose truth will you print?
I think who liked Papers, Please will also like The Westport Independent. I have now finished my first run and have managed to divide the population into two camps. The rebels and the loyalists (The rebels were of course the poor oppressed workers....
. . Cause well, the rich guys don't care. They got their dough). I managed to have the factory workers tear down all the factories in their district and block transport routes. I made sure that another district completely wiped out the police and was about to storm the district of the rich.
I really like that
) In addition, one of my journalists was kidnapped because he said too much against the government. In the end screen you were told (partially) how the journalists who previously worked for the Westport Independent lived on or what their role in the rebellion was (if it is still taking place).
