ORIGINAL MODE offers adjustable difficulty, display options, button remapping, rapid-fire settings, save states, and a rewind function. Some titles include optional CRT-style visual filters. HI SCORE MODE and CARAVAN MODE allow players to compete in online score rankings. The Arcade Archives 2 series adds a new TIME ATTACK MODE, emphasizing completion time rather than score. It also introduces support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) to reproduce gameplay more closely to the original arcade hardware.
