Discharge Pending

Discharge Pending is a psychological anomaly horror game set inside an abandoned hospital. Trapped on the upper floors, the player must descend one level at a time while carefully observing the environment for anything that has changed. At the end of each floor, they must decide whether an anomaly is present. A wrong decision sends them back to the top. Each run features randomized anomalies, locations, variants and audiovisual events, ranging from subtle environmental changes to surreal encounters and active threats. As the descent continues, the hospital becomes increasingly unreliable, forcing the player to question what is real and what should not be there. After a sudden outbreak causes widespread confusion, memory loss, and disturbing perceptual symptoms, a hospital is evacuated in the middle of the crisis. One patient is left behind on the upper floors. Waking alone with a head injury and no clear memory of what happened, the player must make their way down through the abandoned hospital. The deeper they descend, the harder it becomes to tell whether the building is changing around them, whether their own perception can be trusted, or whether something else has remained inside with them.
