Dohyo Dreams: Rise to Yokozuna is a narrative sumo RPG that blends first person combat, life simulation, and story rich exploration. Train, cook, bond with stablemates, and fight to rise to the pinnacle of sumo. After a devastating childhood judo match ends with injury, betrayal, and the loss of a best friend, the player arrives at Ishizuna-beya seeking a new purpose in the world of sumo. Starting from the lowest rank, they must train, fight, and build bonds with the stable’s eccentric wrestlers while adjusting to a sport built on discipline, tradition, and raw honesty. But beneath the stable’s rituals and camaraderie, old wounds begin to surface. A former friend no longer recognizes the past they share. A nervous prodigy uncovers evidence of a buried match scandal. A matriarch hints that the stable master’s legacy may be built on theft, silence, and betrayal. As the player’s name is written onto the Banzuke for the first time, they realize that sumo may not simply be a path forward. It may be the place where every hidden truth finally steps into the ring.
