Effulgence RPG

Effulgence is a party-based RPG in a sci-fi setting. Players will explore a distant, possibly extinct world, battle its hostile inhabitants, craft gear, and develop their characters. All graphics in Effulgence are made of text symbols, making it visually unique. It's easy to transmit a video signal when you're just the distance of a satellite away. If you go beyond the solar system, it may take hours to send a regular image to Earth. But when the signal comes from a galaxy a million light-years away, only fragments of symbols make it to us. Sometimes, they can be decoded and assembled into an animation made from text characters. This is the story of a strange world. It may no longer exist, as the signal has traveled for a million years. Or perhaps it not only exists, but is preparing an attack?
