Sean flees the scene with Daniel, and the two become fugitives, setting out on a journey south toward their father's hometown in Mexico. As they travel along the West Coast, Sean takes on the role of surrogate parent, guiding Daniel while struggling to keep them both safe and fed. Daniel's powers grow stronger, and Sean must decide how to teach his brother to use them responsibly.
