What is Ruiner about?

RUINER is a top-down action shooter created in the spirit of cult cyberpunk anime and game classics. RUINER is quick and brutal but sophisticated gameplay, original world with mature storyline and unique visual style. It was born out of passion for great games but also for pushing the boundaries. RUINER is our own take on cyberpunk motifs but we we're not making a pure cyberpunk game. Our main inspiration is the world we live in. Because the future's already here.

I'm ambivalent at RUINER. On the one hand the game offers an incredibly coherent cyberpunk atmosphere and very stylishly designed levels and graphics, on the other hand there is a hectic and not well-balanced hotline Miami Arena gameplay. I think the first one's great, the latter just as tolerable. I didn't get along with the mouse and keyboard in combination with the camera control and switched to the gamepad in frustration. In my opinion you can only play RUINER halfway. Price/Performance is okay and the campaign remains varied. However, the arena and speed run game modes are not for me. It should be noted that there are also a lot of skills and upgrades in a skill tree, which often cannot be used in a meaningful and targeted way. Everything is just too hectic and pure button smashing on the melee attack and the dash button just take you through the whole game. + Art-Design and Atmosphere+ Graphic and Level Design+ Technically perfect implemented/- Sound and Music- Gameplay in combat (often blind hectic button Smashing) - ControlFrom me there is a recommendation, but with clear clear restrictions.
