Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is one of my favorite games and after 50 hours I still don't have enough. To those who played the original BoI it should be said that Rebirth contains the complete content and has endless new features. Numerous new items, rooms, enemies, bosses, characters and, and, and. In addition, the graphics have been redesigned to a very chic pixel look and the game runs at 60 FPS. But what is Binding of Isaac anyway? We control young Isaac, a naked little bald guy who cries all the time because his monstrous mother wants to sacrifice him to God. A clear allusion to the Bible story of the same name. In general, the indie tidbit deals with uncomfortable topics like drug use and child abuse and refers more than critically to the religious field (But although I am Catholic, you can take the game with humor, so don't worry; D). The gameplay itself is a mixture of the original Zelda and a 2D twin-stick shooter. We use Isaac's tears as bullets. With the help of the salty bullets, we fight disgusting monsters in the basement, caves, the uterus and hell itself. Each room is randomly generated and randomly found items make us a nimble fighter, a flying demon or an indestructible fighting machine. The rogue-like game principle with the brutal Perma-Death is rock-heavy, ingenious and offers probably the biggest replay factor of all times, since a run lasts only between thirty minutes and one hour. In short: Rogue-Like fans, retro gamers or people looking for a challenge are just right at Isaac, and also owners of the predecessor I recommend Rebirth, especially since the new DLC is coming soon. Enjoy the SHRIVING; D.
