In Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA, Adol wakes up shipwrecked and stranded on a cursed island. There, he and other shipwrecked men have to defend themselves against hordes of monsters and explore mysterious ruins. Soon Adol begins to dream of a girl with blue hair who lives in an unknown world. With each dream he learns more about Dana and slowly begins to Unravel her secret and that of the island.
