FIFA 19 removes Ronaldo from cover
Christiano Ronaldo will be removed from FIFA 19 cover due to rape allegations, replaced by other players.
Christiano Ronaldo will soon no longer be the cover of FIFA 19. The footballer, who is suspected of rape, will be removed from all promotional material relating to the game. The new players for the cover have already been determined, but even this picture is not completely uncontroversial.
The new cover now features Devin de Bruyne, Neymar and Paulo Dybala.
At the end of last year, Christiano Ronaldo was accused of rape. Perhaps there is more to these accusations, as Electronic Arts has decided to replace all advertising and marketing material for FIFA 19, which featured the Juventus Turin player - including the cover of the game. Future versions of FIFA 19 will have a new cover featuring Devin de Bruyne, Neymar, and Paulo Dybala.
The new cover was announced on Twitter.
In 2009, Christiano Ronaldo is said to have had sex with the American Kathryn Mayorga in a hotel in Las Vegas, which she did not consent to. Questionnaires from the professional footballer's attorneys revealed contradictions that substantiated these suspicions. In an inquiry in September 2018, he admitted that Mayorga had said "Stop" and "No" several times. In a later version, Ronaldo was asked the same question, this time presenting the case as if there had been no statements that contradicted consensual sex.
Fifa 19 has been released on the 28th September 2018 and is available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. You can find the cheapest Fifa 19 price for PC here.
