The racing game Forza Horizon 3, which is now almost two years old, has broken an exceptional milestone just recently. As Ralph Fulton of the developer studio Playground Games has announced, more than nine million players have already played the racing game, while the release of the fourth episode is very close.

Although we are currently waiting for the release of Forza Horizon 4, its predecessor Forza Horizon 3 is attracting attention once again. It has recently reached a remarkable milestone, which the Playground Games development studio could have never dreamed of.

Forza Horizon 3 is able to easily beat the five million player mark of Gran Turismo Sport, as the open world racing game has already reached more than nine million gamers. According to creative director Ralph Fulton, these numbers exceed even the team's wildest expectations.

The title was released in 2016 for the two platforms PC and Xbox One.

Forza Horizon 4 will be set in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and offer dynamic seasons. Meaning, that the weather, the driving conditions, basically everything will change every week in the racing game. In winter, lakes suddenly turn into mirror-smooth racing tracks and offer access to islands that couldn't have been reached before. During the wet spring, on the other hand, tracks will often be muddy, creating a rally-like feeling.

Whether the successor will be able to repeat Forza's success remains to be seen. The release of Forza Horizon 4 is currently scheduled for October 2, 2018 and you can get it for the cheapest price available here.
